As a family of six, my husband and I live on a strict budget. We shop sales, coupon, and live as frugal as we can throughout the year in order to save. Now it’s Christmas time, and while we focus more on family during the holidays, we still like to get our kids the few things they really want. This is where Swagbucks helps out BIG time! Here is how we paid for Christmas with Swagbucks.

How we used SB for Christmas

My husband and I start Christmas shopping in July so we don’t stretch our budget too thin during November and December. Shopping early allows us to earn SB to redeem for gift cards and cash to help with those gifts. Read more about how to shop to earn SB for gift cards.

What is Swagbucks?

Swagbucks is a FREE rewards program that awards points (called SB) for shopping online, playing games, watching videos, and more. These points can be redeemed for gift cards of your choice or PayPal cash. Read more about Swagbucks and how it works.

How much I have earned

Since the first week of August, I have earned $250 in gift cards and cash just from using Swagbucks to watch videos, shop online, play games, and more. The gift cards have helped our budget tremendously and lessened the blow the holidays take on a budget.

The SB redeemed for PayPal cash has helped pay down the balance on my PayPal credit card decreasing the credit utilization score which is important when building good credit.

Thank you, Swagbucks, for a Merry Christmas from our family to yours!
