For my son’s birthday party this year, we did an all-out Minecraft themed birthday party – and it was a huge success!! From the invitations to decorations to the food, it was Minecraft all the way down to the font used! Here are lots of photos of his party with a link to the printables at the bottom. Not a whole lot to discuss, so enjoy the photos and printables!
Included in the bags were:
DIY Minecraft Party Decorations
I ordered these decorations from Amazon:
- green table cover
- grass table cover
- black square plates
- green square plates
And, of course, there has to be Papercraft!
I printed all the templates from:
It took me two days working on the above papercraft. Only the easy and medium levels were attempted, and I made sure to use toothpicks and tweezers to help me. Update: There are now Minecraft papercraft sets available at Amazon for reasonable prices.
The Birthday Cake
**Update: A Minecraft aficionado politely pointed out that the Minecraft birthday cake is actually square, not round. He is absolutely correct and this will be corrected when my younger son has his Minecraft birthday party in the fall.

- Carrot – baby carrot
- Lava – Colby cheese cut into squares
- Cookie – mini chips ahoy cookies
- Fish – goldfish and Swedish candy fist
- Spawn egg – yogurt-covered cranberries
