May is Fibromyalgia Awareness month and to celebrate, we are having multiple giveaways! Today’s giveaway is a $50 D&W Family Store gift card. Click here for last week’s $100 Amazon gift card giveaway.
First, let’s address what the awareness is all about – fibromyalgia.
What is fibromyalgia?
Fibromyalgia is a syndrome that has widespread chronic pain that affects the muscles, ligaments, and tendons. It is an invisible illness because it’s symptoms cannot be seen by others. It is a multi-faceted disease and has a vast array of symptoms that each vary in degree of severeness.
They are many treatments for fibromyalgia including medicinal, natural, physical, and alternative treatments. Read about my daily natural treatment regiment.
Read all my posts in the fibromyalgia category.
Sharing information about fibromyalgia increases awareness which increases the funding for research. Please share this post (of course the giveaway!) with your friends, family, and others and help us spread the awareness of fibromyalgia!
Here is a list of events taking place for Fibromyalgia Awareness Day on May 12.

My best friend suffers from fibromyalgia and it makes her work days difficult. I know it’s a real struggle. We exchange stories (her fibro and my Crohn’s). Thank you for bringing awareness!
I’m glad she has your support! It meant the world to me when my best friend researched fibromyalgia on her own and then later shared her own stories about struggles. It’s great when you have a good functioning support system. Thanks for commenting!
I have Fibro, so I know all too much about it.
It’s unfortunate when that is the case, Melissa. Thank you for commenting! Gentle hugs, fibro friend.
I know that fibromyalgia causes pain and fatigue.
I have it. I am having a bad flare right now and it is so cumbersome!! I live on my heating pad some days!! I have gotten better with it over time but the pain clinic has real helped me get to this place
I’m so sorry you’re having a flare! I’m coming down from a flare that lasted six weeks. It was terrible!
Another great giveaway to raise awareness for Fibromyalgia. Pinning to our Small Victories Sunday linkup board. Thanks for joining our linkup team!
