about fibro magazine banner

The Fibromyalgia Magazine is made possible by UK Fibromyalgia. The articles are written by various writers, and covers topic that matters most to readers. UK Fibromyalgia has been working with various groups and charities to help strengthen the Britain Fibromyalgia Community since 2010.

Please note: UK Fibromyalgia is not a charity. “UK Fibromyalgia has no ties to any one charity but instead works with all groups and all charities to provide an independent overview for Britain’s FM community.”

Taken from the UK Fibromyalgia website:

“Fibromyalgia magazine deals with the areas that matter to our readers:

  • Medical Research News
  • Campaigning
  • Lobbying
  • Awareness Raising
  • Legal Advice
  • Benefits Advice
  • Worldwide news
  • News from local support groups and charities
  • Treatment Advice
  • Pharmaceutical News
  • Alternative Therapies
  • Pain Management
  • On line directory of all support groups and phone friends
  • A nationwide directory of FM resources
  • Opinion and Entertainment from our unrivaled team of columnists

By ordering the Fibromyalgia Magazine: Support for the FM FaMily, you are also directly supporting all fibromyalgia support groups in Britain. This transparent system funds as many support groups as possible so they can quickly source necessary small items that are essential to the running of their local support groups, items such as printers, books, train tickets, speakers fees, PR materials, hall rental costs, etc, etc. All grants paid out will be publicized in magazine.”

While connecting with Fibromyalgia Magazine’s managing editor, Martin Westby, for Fibromyalgia Awareness events, he offered me a writing opportunity with his magazine. I was overwhelmed with joy and appreciation for this opportunity! I work hard at creating informative content to publish for my readers, and have their best interests in mind while writing.

One of my goals is to educate others about fibromyalgia in order to change the mantra of “you don’t look sick”. My mission is to get fibromyalgia sufferers the help and support they need so they can begin healing and become fibromyalgia thrivers. Writing for Fibromyalgia Magazine is a perfect avenue for my goals and mission, while gaining more experience and growth along the way.

My first article Fibromyalgia: The Unbelievable Diagnosis will appear in June’s edition.
