This review is The Layover by David Bell. One of my favorite ways to rest is by curling up with a good book. Like movies and music, all genres appeal to me, and I give all books a chance to be ‘heard’!

David Bell’s thriller, Layover, is about how Joshua Fields, a traveling businessman, meets a mysterious woman named Morgan in an airport bar in Atlanta during a – you guessed it – layover. The two hit it off departing ways with an erotic kiss that does not leave Joshua’s mind.

Instead of flying to Florida to meet his dad to close a business deal, Joshua decides to follow Morgan to her hometown in Kentucky and boards her plane. However, when he sees her in coach, Morgan pretends to not know him causing a disturbance on the plane. When they land, Joshua decides to head to Florida but just before heading to the ticket counter, he sees Morgan’s photo displayed on the televisions throughout the airport stating her to be missing.

Layover by David Bell is a thrilling novel about a businessman, Joshua, meeting a mysterious woman, Morgan, at the airport. The woman leaves and Joshua soon discovers Morgan is actually a missing woman in the local news. #thriller… Click To Tweet

This book is also available with Kindle Unlimited Membership Plans.

As the story unfolds, Joshua finds himself constantly following Morgan in an attempt to figure out what sort of trouble she’s in and why she’s reported missing when clearly she’s right there in the same hometown reporting her as a missing person. Soon the police are involved to investigate and are eventually led to Joshua.

This story is full of twists, turns, secrets, and lies as Joshua uncovers the truth of Morgan’s “disappearance” and the real trouble she’s in. The chapters are relatively short and switch between characters’ viewpoints. It definitely pulls in the reader and keeps you on the edge for the entire book.

David Bell Talks About His New Book

Book of the Month Club

I enjoyed books so much that I joined the Book of the Month Club to continue receiving the latest and greatest books via mail. Some of the books are exclusive to BOTM club members a month prior to their official publishing date! Each month I’m excited about the monthly selections, and it’s tough to select just one. (And when I can’t decide on one, I can add additional books for a small add-on charge, and – as always – shipping is included in the monthly membership fee.) Can’t find one you want? That’s okay, too! Skip a month, pocket the credit to spend next month, and you won’t be charged for that current month.

Book Ratings and Reviews

Each book I review is based on my opinion. This does not mean you will agree with the review or love/like/dislike the book, too. There’s a quote that says, “No two persons ever read the same book” by Edmund Wilson, and it’s quite true!
