This review is The Immortalists by Chloe Benjamin. One of my favorite ways to rest is by curling up with a good book. Like movies and music, all genres appeal to me, and I give all books a chance to be ‘heard’!

Chloe Benjamin wove a beautifully historical fiction with her novel, The Immortalists. It had me submerged in an intriguing tale of family, death, and the fulfillment of destiny.

Set over the span of several decades, this story is that of a family with a focus on the four children: Simon, Klara, Daniel, and Varya. During their childhood, they visit a woman who claims to have the ability to see the date of a person’s death. There, they each learn the date on which they will die. This forever changes each of them.

The Immortalists by @chloekbenjamin is a beautifully written tale of four siblings bounded by the knowledge of knowing exactly which day they will die. #fiction #bookreviews #brandisbookcorner Click To Tweet

This book is also available with Kindle Unlimited Membership Plans.

Divided into four separate stories of the siblings, their fates are entwined into one epic tale of escaping death – or, as some may see it – running into the arms of death. Either way, the author creates a gripping tale of a family and the love they have for one another in the face of death.

A quick and easy read with four parts consisting of short chapters. I give it four stars and will definitely try Chloe Benjamin’s other novels.

Book of the Month Club

I enjoyed books so much that I joined the Book of the Month Club to continue receiving the latest and greatest books via mail. Some of the books are exclusive to BOTM club members a month prior to their official publishing date! Each month I’m excited about the monthly selections, and it’s tough to select just one. (And when I can’t decide on one, I can add additional books for a small add-on charge, and – as always – shipping is included in the monthly membership fee.) Can’t find one you want? That’s okay, too! Skip a month, pocket the credit to spend next month, and you won’t be charged for that current month.

Book Ratings and Reviews

Each book I review is based on my opinion. This does not mean you will agree with the review or love/like/dislike the book, too. There’s a quote that says, “No two persons ever read the same book” by Edmund Wilson, and it’s quite true!
