What is Swagbucks? {with video tutorial}
Swagbucks is becoming more and more popular especially in the blogging world and for those looking to make extra money, but there is still lots of people out there that do not know what it is and how to use it. So, what is Swagbucks and how does it work?
First, I want to note that Swagbucks is a FREE reward program!! You are NOT obligated to purchase or store credit card information in order to receive swag bucks to be redeemed for gift cards or cash!
I get commissions for purchases made through links in this post, but these are products I recommend and have verified and/or used.

What is Swagbucks?
Swagbucks is the fun rewards program that gives you free gift cards and cash for the everyday things you already do online. Earn points called SB when you shop at your favorite retailers, watch entertaining videos, search the web, answer surveys and more!
Activities to get SB
- Watching videos
- clipping coupons
- Playing games
- Answering surveys
- Reading book excerpts
- searching
- Shopping
- Listening to the radio
- And much more!
Each activity is worth different amounts of SB, and then cashed in for real rewards such as gift cards or cash via PayPal.
Rewards include
- PayPal
- Gift cards (like Starbucks and various other popular stores)
- Charity donations (such as the National Fibromyalgia Association)
I trade in my SB every other week for a different gift card and use them to buy Christmas presents, birthday presents, and various other special occasion gifts! Read about how I shop at Amazon for FREE!
How does it work?

Here’s a plan for using Swagbucks to earn $25 in gift cards each month. It’s easy, and if you keep at it, you’ll have at least $75 by June to spend on summer fun without having to dip into your wallet or spend a ton of your precious time!
Update: Swagbucks is offering a new perk in the rewards store! Get your first $25 gift card for the store of your choice for only 2,200 swag bucks instead of the usual 2,500 swag bucks. Read more.
Conclusion
Common question with anything new is – how much time and effort do I have to put in it before I am rewarded? Not long at all!

Thanks for mentioning my Swagbucks posts. I LOVE Swagbucks. It really is a simple way to earn a few gift cards each month doing things you already do online.
My pleasure! Thanks to your posts I ‘cash’ out a lot faster!
Swagbucks is a great way to earn extra money. I joined 3 years ago and have accumulated over 3,000 dollars. I realize it’s not a job but I put into paypal and it’s coming in handy this year. Btw, Radio Loyalty stinks. It used to be super easy way to earn a in KLE every half hour. It no longer pays out or oh Snaps all the time. I recommend swagbucks to anyone looking to make a bit extra but know what pays and does not pay out or you will get frustrated. Happy swagging
Thank you for your input! It sometimes frustrates me, too, but more often than not it’s okay. Swagbucks pays off for me, and I recommend it to everyone. Thanks for stopping by!
